After taking Dorothy's advice on font sizing and picture sizing, this is a version I'm fairly happy with as a paperback.

  1. Great job! I just had a quick look and I am impressed. Just a brief comment: some of the images come out with grayish background on my laptop. You might want to check it.

  2. Oh, that came out nicely! I caught one typo in a picture caption (we'll talk more about proofreading tonight, but since I saw it--it was "He see a bottle rocket for the first time". I think you mean sees.)

It looks like you have some blank pages at the end that you don't need... before the Afterword.

Also, if you don't want it to say "Created with Vellum," you can go to the copyright page and untick that box. Then it won't show up.

  3. Okay - I've played around with settings etc. and it seems that if I resize some pictures they have this greyish background. I'll rescan those and upload them again. As for the blank pages - remember that this is the print version, and if you look at the pdf in preview and select view - 2 pages, you see how the book will actually 'read'. In which case the blanks make sense.
