  1. I love the one of the tiger eating with the elephant! Cute drawings.

Do they exist as jpegs? Or only pdfs?

  2. They can be converted to jpeg format, since I scan in the originals that are on paper! Must tell you that when one of my students got to that page he cracked up for two minutes and could not speak....

  3. Dorothy E. Zemach - so, question is - do I go ahead and work on this idea of 'The Tiger Biker and Friends', comprising four books and their illustrations, or simply go with each one separately and turn each one into a reader with a language lesson, comprehension tests and tasks to make it paperbook length? Or come up with an alternative?

  4. Leonie Overbeek, sorry, I missed this comment! Not sure how, but. Anyway. Why don't you work up one as an ebook, and see how it goes? Then apply what you've learned to the other ones, and you can bundle them all together as a paperback. You can do the same thing with ebooks, actually--sell each one separately AND sell them all as a collection. Like, .99 for each story, but then 2.99 for a collection of four (so, a little discount there).

Honestly, ebooks are not very popular with children. You might find that your idea does better in paperback than in ebook. But I'd like you to learn how to do an ebook, just so you know. You might well want to write something else later, or have a free teacher's guide as an ebook, or ... who knows?

  5. Leonie Overbeek, but in either case, you'll need those illustrations as jpegs.

  6. Thanks - and yes, I do have them as jpegs.
